Consists of a federation of Hindu societies Temple trusts and members from the public.
Management
Board of management elected at the Annual General Meeting shall be responsible for the management and control of all business of the council. Board shall comprise the office bearers and seven other members.

Vision
To mobilize the Hindu community’s enormous spiritual, moral and social assets and capacities to advance a peaceful existence amongst the Hindus and
to overcome the aftermath of the ethnic war and heal the wounds and give strength and wisdom of the ancient texts to reconstruct their family and the Hindu society and live in peace and harmony with all other communities.
Mission
To create a peaceful and harmonious society based upon our Hindu religious values and commitments through actions to address issues of development, peace, livelihood, education, democracy, human rights, prevention of conflicts and understanding of a harmonious living and co-operation for peace and social development.
Objectives
- to protect, develop and spread the Hindu Values of Life
- to consolidate and strengthen Hindu Society
- to look after the welfare and interests of the Hindus
- to promote the study and practice of Hindu Shastras through Educational Institutions
- to assist and restore Hindu Temples and Institutions
- to promote the study of the influence of Hinduism on the culture and customs of the Tamils.
