ARANERY TEACHERS TRAINING IN COLOMBO.
Conducted a three day training programme in collaboration with Saiva Mangaiyar Kalagam for Aranerry Teachers from all the Districts in the Island.
Chief Guests were Swami Sarvarupananda from Ramakrishna Mission Colombo on 15th April, Brahmmachchari Tharshan Chaithanya from Chinmaya Mission Colombo on the 16th April and Mathaji Prauvrajika Athmathevaprana from Ramakrishna Saratha Mission Colombo on the 17th April.
Professors, lecturers from Universities and former Hindu Cultural Minister P.P.Devaraj participated in this programme. Our Project Co-Ordinator Mr. N.K.S.Thiruchelvam gave practical as well as theoretical lessons for the participating Teachers. In all 47 teachers participated. Many were unable to attend due to unavailiblity of transport following the Sinhala & Hindu New Years day. At the end of the course all the Teachers were issued certificates of training.
In addition the Teachers were given some insight in yoga exercises by a Yoga Teacher early in the morning from 7.00 AM to 8.00 AM.
The teachers have been appreciative of the way the training was conducted.
TRAINING PROGRAMME IN MANNAR.
Conducted a 2 day training programme for Aranerry School Teachers in the Mannar District on 14th & 15th May 2010. The Principal, Sri Siththivinayagar Vidyalayam, Divisional Secretaries of Madu, Musali, Adampan and Mannar participated in this programme.
Our Project Co-ordinator Mr.N.K.S.Thiruchchelvam along with a member from Hindu Seva Sangha , Colombo gave a practical and theoretical training for the Teachers. The Teachers were also given a training in Yoga exercises by a yoga expert.
At the end of the course all the Teachers were issued certificates of training.
Teachers numbering 82 were present for this programme. They expressed full satisfaction of the methodology adopted for the training .
TRAINING PROGRAMME IN BATTICALOA.
Conducted a 2 day training programme for the Aranerry School Teachers numbering 65 from the Batticaloa District on the 13th and 14th June 2010 at Vigneswarar Cultural Hall in Batticaloa. The Chief Guest was Swami Ajaratmandaji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission, Batticaloa. Our Project Co- Ordinator Mr.N.K.S.Thiruchelvam conducted the programme.
In addition a Yoga Expert gave a demonstration of some of the important Yoga exercises.
At the end of the programme Hon.C.Yogeswaran (MP) addressed the Teachers and thereafter issued the certificate of training to all the Teachers.
On the 14th June all the lady Teachers particippated in the Thiruvilakku Puja held at Mamanga Pillaiyar Kovil located a few metres from Shanmuga's Hall.
All the teachers expressed their full satisfaction of the way the training course was conducted.
