HELPING FLOOD VICTIMS IN VAHARAI

HELP FOR FLOOD VICTIMS IN VAHARAI.

It has been raining continuously in the Eastern Province during the months of December 2010 and January 2011 which resulted in flooding of these areas particularly in Batticaloa. People were displaced and were compelled to seek shelters in schools, temples, churches and other public buildings.

After looking into their needs, we decided to supply mats and bed sheets to the people in the village called Vaharai a remote village  about 60Km. from Batticaloa town and has not been  visited by any NGOs or others.

The President and the Project Organizer travelled to Batticaloa on the 25th January 2011 and handed over bed sheets and mats to each of the families numbering 175.
