PESALAI.
Pesalai is a remote village, about 15 Km. from Mannar Town. There are about 60 families who are below the poverty line and are living in difficult conditions after the war concluded in May 2009.
Our Co-Ordinator in Mannar has requested us to help the children of these families by supplying basic necessities for their education. Therfore the President, Secretary General and Project Organiser travelled to Mannar on 12th September, after having made necessary arrangements to purchase exercise books, pens, pencils, instrument boxes, books and school bags for 52 children.
School children of 5 to 16 years of age were given these items. President, Secretary General, and Project Organiser participated in handing over the items to the chidren.
