PUTHUMURIPPU EXTENSION.

Hindu Council Of Sri Lanka at present is giving priority to the war widows in the Kilinochchi Ditrict by helping them to carry on with livelihood activities. In this process, we have already helped 20 widows in Puthumurippu Village by giving them agricultural implements, seeds, fertilizer for home gardening and chicks for poultry farming on 18th Sept. 2011.

In continuing our services, a further 20 widows were selected in the same area by the Grama Sevaka of the area for similar assistance.

On 12th May 2012, the President, Vice President and Treasurer visited Kilinochchi for the distribution of the items. All the beneficiaries were assembled at the Mahadeva Ashram Branch Office in Puthumurippu and they were given a mammoty,a rake,a spade,a water can, seeds, fertilizer and bucket for home gardening, and chicks, gloves, vaccination for poultry farming. Three water pumps to be shared by the widows were also donated and will be under the custody of the Ashram. Ashram will release the pumps on request by the widows as and when required.
